Third Year Anniversary Celebration!

September is the third year anniversary of my blog!

My goal in starting this blog was to create a library of information to help family child care providers (and those who serve them) become more successful as a business. I believe I've made a lot of progress towards meeting this goal.

Some milestones along the way:

* Convincing Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft to change its policy and recognize family child care providers as teachers under its Teacher Rewards discount program.

* Winning several U.S. Tax Court cases (here and here) that helped providers save thousands of dollars in their IRS audit. (I'm representing another provider in Tax Court and are waiting for our trial date to be announced.)

* Winning the 2012 Educators Voice Award for the best Education Commentator/Blogger from the Academy of Education Arts and Science.

* Posting 527 blog articles.

Thanks to everyone who has read my blog over the past three years. I look forward to continuing to write articles, conduct workshops across the country, host webinars, update my tax books, answer questions and assist family child care providers into the future.
