Webinar Recording: What Early Childhood Programs Need to Know About the Financial Side of the Coronavirus
Last Friday I participated as a panelist on a webinar "Bracing for COVID-19: What Early Childhood Programs Need to Know and Consider Now" sponsored by Early Childhood Investigations.
You can listed to the recording here. Enter the information about yourself on the registration page and then the recording will start. It's free.
The webinar lasts one and a half hours. The first two-thirds of it is led by two people from Child Care Aware of American and is a discussion of the medical aspects of the virus and how child care programs can keep everyone safe as well as where to get more information about the virus.
I start speaking during the last twenty minutes talking about "The Business Side of Coronavirus" and how child care programs (homes and centers) can cope with the financial impact of the virus. What can you do if parents leave or you shut down. Is there insurance to cover you? Can you claim unemployment? And more. I also stayed on the webinar at the end to answer additional questions.
Tonight and tomorrow night I will be presenting a webinar on "Dealing with the Financial Side of the Coronavirus," sponsored by the National Association for Family Child Care. Both webinars are full (over 2,400 registered!). However, we are making the recording of the webinar available on Wednesday. I'll post about this on Wednesday.
