Answer: No. If you do pay him he'll have to report it as income and pay Social Security/Medicare and income taxes on it. Although you can deduct the amount you pay him, it won't reduce your taxes, dollar for dollar. Thus, there is very little tax savings to your family. Think of some other way to reward him!
